Coming soon... The Indices of Deprivation 2025

The English Indices of Deprivation 2025 will be published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) on Thursday 30th October 2025. MHCLG commissioned OCSI and Deprivation.org to update the indices and you can find out more information on the OCSI website

We will be working to produce a Suffolk summary promptly when the data becomes available.

Recent national publications:

  • Community pharmacy explained: Community pharmacy is a critical part of primary care in England, but its role and relationship to the wider NHS is often poorly understood. This explainer looks at the community pharmacy sector in England, explaining how pharmacies are contracted and funded, the types of services they provide and future trends in the sector.
  • The state of health and care of older people in England: The tenth edition of this annual report reveals a picture of declining health among an ageing population, unequal access to services, and growing pressures on unpaid carers and frontline staff. Key findings in the report include: growing inequality in access to some NHS services; social care under strain and tightly rationed; lasting pandemic effects; and a legacy of chronic long-term underinvestment.
  • Caring about health: The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) has published a new report looking at the health outcomes of adults using social care services and how the system can have a more active role in health improvement.
  • Chief Medical Officer (CMO): annual report 2025: Health trends and variation in England: This report provides a snapshot on health in England and, where relevant, the wider United Kingdom. It shows major trends over time, many of which are likely to continue for the foreseeable future, which is important for planning out NHS and public health work.
  • MHRA confirms taking paracetamol during pregnancy remains safe and there is no evidence it causes autism in children: This news story asserts that paracetamol should be taken as directed in the patient information leaflet, and that there is no evidence that taking paracetamol during pregnancy causes autism in children.
