The English Indices of Deprivation 2025 have now been published! Take a look at the published information and view the mapped data on Suffolk's Local Insight platform:
Healthy Weight Needs Assessment
Maintaining a healthy weight is one of the most important factors for lifelong wellbeing – yet it remains a challenge for many people across Suffolk. Our latest Health Needs Assessment takes an in-depth look at healthy weight across the population, from children and young people to older adults.
This comprehensive review combines robust statistical analysis, local insights, and emerging evidence to understand the drivers behind weight-related health challenges. It also evaluates the effectiveness of current services and interventions.

Data update for the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Needs Assessment
This update provides the latest available data on children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Suffolk. It builds on the SEND Needs Assessment 2024, offering a snapshot of current trends and progress against earlier recommendations.
This data update uses the latest publicly available data in 2025 from the school census (completed on a single day in January/February each year). There is more recent, internal data available for Suffolk County Council, however this data update concentrates on the latest public data and how it compares to the data within the SEND Needs Assessment published in January 2025. It is therefore a snapshot and a static point in time.
Key points include:
- Focus on public data: The update uses national school census figures rather than internal datasets, ensuring transparency and comparability.
- Purpose: To refresh the evidence base and highlight changes since the original assessment, supporting informed decision-making.
- Context: Aligns with Suffolk’s strategic priorities for timeliness, quality, and delivering the right support at the right time.
This resource is designed to guide local planning and provision for SEND services, helping partners work together to improve outcomes for children and young people.
