Toolkit for employers

Work accounts for a large proportion of people’s lives and getting the right balance between home and work life is important. The most frequent causes of absence are linked to poor mental health and musculoskeletal (physical) health, which not only affect the individual’s wellbeing but productivity in general.

As an employer, you have a duty of care for your colleagues, which is why being aware of the support that’s available is incredibly important.

We have produced the following film for Suffolk businesses, highlighting the support available to keep your employees well. This short film focuses on a Polish employee and is presented in Polish with English subtitles. Eastern European workers in general can experience poorer health outcomes at work, and for a variety of reasons, are often less aware of what help is available. This film summarises the support available from OneLife Suffolk – the county’s healthy lifestyle service, as well as other organisations. Please share it with your teams and take every opportunity to promote the available options for workplace health.
